- World Man = Superman.
- Fleet Foot = Flash. "Speed up, speed out"
- Night Knight = Batman.
- Morph Man = Plastic Man.

Refuel with super with Sandeep Parikh
The webserie "Save the Supers" just started. This parody of superhero series is hilarious. It owes to its creator Sandeep Parikh. At 32, this child of Indian immigrants have a career through webseries. He became known first as a writer and producer before starting to play himself roles in comedy webseries.

His best-known role is the one of Zaboo in The Guild. In addition, he created the "Legend of Neil" which was a parody of the game Legend of Zelda. The series was so successful that it was eventually aired on Comedy Central site. He has appeared in various other web series such us Fresh Hell created and played by Brent Spiner.

Its flagship project today is the hilarious story of Superforce. This team is a laughable copy of Justice League of America DC Comics:
 - World Man = Superman. He has most of the powers of the original but is stupid and immoral.
 - Elementra = Wonder Woman. Daughter of gods, she has an invisible plane and its power is in his breath (we hope it is a fresh breath)
 - Fleet Foot = Flash. "Speed up, speed out"
 - Night Knight = Batman. A bad tempred knight in armor. (This could have been Steel but he is not well known as a member of the JLA)
 - Morph Man = Plastic Man. He remains only the first two episodes because of budget cuts for the team
 - Merman = Aquaman. Sandeep Parikh as team leader.

The enemies are on the same register:
- The Jokester = The Joker. Killed in the first episode by the team. He has a clown makeup and makes puns.
 - Panthera = Catwoman. A new appearance of Felicia Day (also plays in The Legend of Neil)
 - Bombardier =? A villain who makes bombs.

The series is already at episode 4. It's very funny and still have 3 episodes to complete the first season.

Derniers épisodes de My Gimpy Life, The Flog et Tabletop

My Gimpy Life S01E03 : Inspirational / Inspirant (exemplaire serait plus juste) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYTnldzk9nc&feature=youtu.be

‪Felicia Day & Robin Thorsen: Satan...err, Seitan‬
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mzERs0K30Es&feature=player_embedded

Table Top épisode 10 : Say Anything
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7BsVb-5wDs&feature=relmfu

Casting : Josh A. Cagan (writer-Undergrads, Bandslam), Matt Mira (co-host of The Nerdist Podcast & Attack of the Show), and Jonah Ray (Comedian and co-host of The Nerdist Podcast).

English Translation

Even during the summer, web series continue to arrive on our screens. This week, three episodes of series that I have described in my previous blogs.

My Gimpy Life S01E03: Inspirational
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYTnldzk9nc&feature=youtu.beSubject: Sexuality and compassionate relationships. There is much talk of vagina especially through the famous "Vagina Monologues". Teal is also faced with the compassionate eyes of director who put his status as disabled before its own performance. She eventually rebel in a very funny way.Casting: as guest star one of my favorite actresses who is the subject of my first blog aka Felicia Day. The actors chosen by Teal for questions about her sexuality are cute (female point of view speaking). My opinion: I think the more we advance in the series, the higher the level rises. This third episode is really hilarious. To be able pass such sensitive issues in a humorous way is a real tour de force. The question now is: how far will go up this series given the very high level already reached.
‪Felicia Day and Robin Thorsen: Satan ... err, Seitan ‬https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mzERs0K30Es&feature=player_embeddedSubject:  Surprise is that Sandeep Parikh is the host of the show. The top five becomes the top three. He took the opportunity to advertise his web series "Save the Supers". Then Felicia Day and Robin Thorsen cooking a dish. This does not really look tasty. This kind of cooking is recurring in the show because it is the third time.Casting: The cast this week comes fully from The Guild: Sandeep Parikh (Zaboo), and Robin Thorsen (Clara). My opinion: Sandeep Parikh as host is a very pleasant surprise that introduces change. We cannot say the same thing about the recipe because it is the third time we have this kind of topic. Still pleasant to watch.
Table Top Episode 10: Say Anythinghttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7BsVb-5wDs&feature=relmfuSubject: A game with a very simple rule. A player asks a question. Players must give an answer if possible the funniest as possible. The questioner selects the best answer. Other players bet on the answer he chose. Points are coming from good bet.Cast: Josh A. Cagan (Undergrads-writer, Bandslam), Matt Mira (co-host of The Nerdist Podcast & Attack of the Show), and Jonah Ray (Comedian and co-host of The Nerdist Podcast).
My opinion: I was afraid during the presentation of the game but it is very funny. The problem is that this episode comes after the great episodes of Fiasco. The contrast is unfavorable. In addition, responses are typically American and you must have a sound knowledge of American culture to follow. The three unknowns ( for the French public) are rather transparent.

Passer à table avec Will Wheaton

- Get Bit!

Skip to table with Will Wheaton : Passer à table = sit down to eat

First portrait of a man (in case you'd think I did only women's portraits in this blog).
This 40 years old actor began his acting carriere in "Stand By Me" where he plays the role of Gordy Lachance. Sheldon Cooper in The Big Bang Theory will say instead "Will Wheaton is the only actor of Stand By Me whom no one remember". Then what will be his most famous acting job is Star Trek: New Generation where he plays the role of Wesley Crusher.
For me, the first real meeting with WW was in the series The Big Bang Theory where he plays himself being the enemy of Sheldon Cooper http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nIFjPHvf45s&feature=related. This role of "villain" manipulator will return repeatedly until reconciliation. We will find him again in the role of villain in The Guild Felicia Day where he is the head of an evil league in which we find Teal Shearer who was the subject of another blog.

The purpose today is to present its flagship program namely TableTop.This webseries presents players at table games. It is co-written with Felicia Day. The principle is that there are three celebrity guests: actors of series, Web players, ... The winner receives the trophy Tabletop with his name written on a label. Unfortunately for the winner, for budgetary reasons, it ultimately keeps only the label. To get a general idea here is the trailer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kVKQ3VgGN3o

Here is the list of games seen during the first season:
- Settlers of Catan / les colons de catane: a game of German origin Monopoly style. The players must build his colony using available resources. For more information http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Les_Colons_de_Catane.
- Zombie dice: dice game where numbers are replaced by figures including brains which are players' targets http://www.trictrac.net/index.php3?id=jeux&rub=detail&inf=detail&jeu=12592
- Get Bit! : Card game where the idea is to avoid being eaten by a shark. Very fun with mini dummy for each players which loses its members one after one
- Tsuro: a tile game where the goal is to create a path or block his opponents http://www.trictrac.net/index.php3?id=jeux&rub=detail&inf=detail&jeu=5871
- Castle panic: players win or lose together. They must defend a castle attacked by trolls.
- A ticket to ride / Ticket to ride: create its own railway network the online version: http://www.daysofwonder.com/online/fr/t2r/steam
 - Munchkin: parody role-playing, he must build his character by accumulating wacky powers. http://www.angies-shelf.com/jeux-de-societe/munchkin
- Small world: once again a game of conquest. The environment is a magical world where you have to acquire special powers http://www.trictrac.net/index.php3?id=jeux&rub=detail&inf=detail&jeu=11109
- Gloom: the goal is to be as unhappy as possible. You have finally to kill the members of your family. The opponents can stop you by giving you good things and happy occasions.
- Fiasco: This is the highlight of the season with no fewer than three episodes. This game based on a random scenario on which players must improvise. The casting for this last game is fabulous and we really live the story. It's difficult to think that "simple" players will be able to do as well as this team. http://www.edgeent.com/v2_fr/edge_foros_discusion.asp?efid=64&efcid=1&efidt=152859

The purpose of this series is, in my opinion, less learning to play the games presented than to appreciate the pleasure taken by participants on the screen. The challenge never takes precedence over the funny mood. I hope that there will be a second season.

Will Wheaton (encore lui): the Axis of Arnachist.

Traduction anglaise/english version

Life on two wheels "Gimpy My Life"
Did you like "Untouchables" with an actor playing a quadriplegic, you'll love "Gimpy My Life" with an actress actually paraplegic.
She was the victim of a car accident that broke his spine. Then she took acting classes and is now an actress and producer of web series.

The first time I saw Teal Shearer was in episodes of the Guild http://www.tealsherer.com/Reel.html She plays the role of a player belonging to a "wicked" guild  conducted by Will Wheaton (again): the Axis of Arnachist. His name is Venom and it ends in a lesbian relationship with the former girl-friend of Zaboo (I'll explain this in a future blog).

"Gimpy My Life" that can be translated as "Ma vie boiteuse" is a quasi-autobiography. The first episode called "Accessible" recounts the horrors of accessibility for wheelchairs. The tone is light and humorous. No pathos, no overacted situation, a right tone with an ironic wink. The supporting actors are also very good especially the actor who plays the role of the agent. It should be noted that Americans have a real talent for portraying agents such as those of Joey Tribiani in "Friends" and "Joey". However, it is clear that the interest of the series revolves almost exclusively around the actress. The autobiographical side is showed for example in the gag of the wheelchair running far from the car. This situation happened to her several times.
Surely the series begins at top speed. (the expression in french use "on hubcaps" which is a word play with the wheelchair)

- I recommend, for those whom went to see the latest Batman, this video where she personifies the daughter of Commissioner Gordon (Barbara) who ended up in a wheelchair when she was on a mission under the name of Batgirl. Under the name Oracle she then joined the team Birds of Prey; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ByApOU31cx8

- The Guild :

- The FLOG :

- Dr Horrible's Sing-Along Blog de Joss Whedon avec Nathan Fillion (Firefly), Neil Patrick Harris (How I met your Mother) et Simon Helberg (Big Bang Theory);

- Table Top :

- Sword Laser :

- Written by a kid :

A day of bliss with Felicia Day (in french bliss is félicité which is coming from Felicia)
The purpose of this new blog is to share with french readers my favorites in comics and web series. It will take several forms: portraits of people or characters, presentations or reviews about the latest issues.
How not to start with one that is for me the queen of the web series namely Felicia Day.
This 33 years old young woman has created in a short time a bunch of web series. Unless you follow Eureka or saw her in the few series in which she played, she remains little known in France. I will not summarize the whole of his career but you will find more information here: http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Felicia_Day
What interests me is his work on the web. She was originally a video game player rather addict. This is why one of his first series was The Guild. Today she appears not only as an actress in series but also wrote and produced many others. Many series are grouped under the banner of Geek and Sundry http://geekandsundry.com/
The list of series in which she appears directly includes:- The Guild: this is THE serie that launched Felicia Day. She plays a highly autobiographical character because it tells the social problems of people whose life revolves around a World of Warcraft like video game. The series is celebrating its fifth year. http://www.watchtheguild.com/the-guild-five-years-and-counting/.
I love music from the credits. It's a shame they do not have it as a phone tone. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=grCTXGW3sxQ&feature=youtu.be
- The FLOG: This is the video blog of Felicia Day. It begins with a top 5 of web sites. I love this sequence as it is musically illustrated by the fourth Brandenburg Concerto by Bach. Then she engages in a particular activity such as ice carving, flying a backhoe or play yoyo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTnOmCBN9CE&feature=player_embedded
- Vaginal Fantasy Hangout
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nzWOeqhiwxc&feature=fvwrel: this is a circle of women around reading books for women. You have to be unconditional, or woman likes to be self-interested.
- Dragon Age: Redemption: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-093SQo9NWM Based on a video game she plays a lovely elf. Pointy ears make her particularly pretty. Incidentally you can see she has a real physical condition and it is not a young woman who stays behind his screen.- Skyrim: one of his first videos where it shows the game Skyrim. Interesting to see her younger. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f08wubI6N9o

- Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog by Joss Whedon with Nathan Fillion (Firefly), Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother) and Simon Helberg (Big Bang Theory);I usually do not like musicals but this one is superb and hilarious. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C4eghPwPYXk
Then there are the series that she co-wrote or produced:
- Table Top: Co-written and presented by Will Wheaton who also will be entitled to his portrait in a next blog. The Settlers of Catan, A Ticket To Ride, Zombies dice or Fiasco. These are table top games that are presented. We follow four famous guest players in frenzied games. In our digital age we see that we can still bring people together around a table for a fun night. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NMtlQxJeWvc
- Laser Sword: talk show about everything from science fiction literature and produced by Felicia Day. Two co-presenters including Vera Belmont who is also in Vaginal Fantasy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1o8nLKUyTcE&list=PL94269DA08231042B&index=4&feature=plpp_video
- Written by a kid: it is the last last production. Kids tell stories (I find that dull but as for animals, people love it) and it is imaged by adults in a comic way http://www.youtube.com/watch?v = vZz6LDY-6DU & feature = youtu.be
So Felicia is very busy and very talented. If you want to see as her singing talent apart of the musical Dr Horrible: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=urNyg1ftMIU&feature=related or violinist http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R9GgKg_3D -k
